With a colorful ambiance that features poppy-inspired hues, local claro walnut millwork throughout the space, and striking contemporary artwork, Poppy & Claro exudes a modern California ethos that showcases the craft and natural beauty of the region.
Overlooking the historic Circle of Palms in the heart of downtown San Jose, our approachable menu features bold, yet familiar flavors, stone hearth oven dishes, a rotating selection of seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic refreshers, and an artisan coffee and pastry program. Open from first light through early evening, the offerings flow from morning breakfast runs and lunches worth lingering over, into afternoon bites, Happy Hour Specials, dinners and unforgettable private events.

Our menus change seasonally; showcasing locally grown ingredients and artisan producers in bold, craveable, made-from scratch dishes. Signature cocktails, low ABV libations and creative non-alcoholic shrubs and refreshers are equally season driven with full bar offerings complemented by a curated selection of California wines and beer.

Dress up your pup for our final “dog day dinner” of the season! Swing by anytime before 7 pm to enter our costume contest, then rally your votes on Instagram. On Oct. 31, we’ll crown the winner: a bandana for the pup and a $75 dining certificate for their human.
